The Amfiteatru Hotel is located in Calafat, some 80 km from Craiova, along the E79 European main road.

It is located right at the center of the city, near the Calafat Port, a 5 minute-walk away from the Danube; on the other side of the river lies the historical fortress of Vidin (Bulgaria).

The city will soon become a bridgehead for the Vidin - Calafat Bridge over the Danube. Thus, it will turn into the main road and railway access gate that will connect Romania to Southern Europe.
